Lyla June is an Indigenous musician, scholar, and community organiser of Diné (Navajo), Tsétsêhéstâhese (Cheyenne), and European lineages. Her work blends poetry, hip-hop, acoustic music, and traditional Indigenous songs to convey powerful messages of healing, decolonisation, and earth stewardship. A doctoral scholar in Indigenous food systems, she bridges ancestral wisdom with contemporary movements for ecological restoration and cultural renewal.

Her performances and talks, delivered worldwide, uplift stories of resilience and call for a return to Indigenous land practices as a pathway toward climate justice. Through her artistry and activism, Lyla inspires audiences to reconnect with land, culture, and one another.
