Immy Kaur • Reimagining Neighbourhoods
Birmingham
Immy Kaur is a Co-founder and Director of Civic Square, a Birmingham-based social enterprise focused on regenerative neighbourhood development, civic infrastructure, and bold experiments in the everyday. Her work centres on building the conditions for collective imagination, participation, and action at the neighbourhood scale – from housing and finance to food, play, and public space.
Immy is recognised internationally as a leader in place-based innovation, systems change, and community-led regeneration. She is a member of the Doughnut Economics Action Lab Advisory Team and has contributed to major initiatives on the future of cities, civic power, and the climate transition.
Through Civic Square and beyond, she advocates for neighbourhoods as sites of radical possibility – where people can come together to reimagine and remake their futures in the face of ecological and social crises.
