Nadeem Perera is a writer, educator, and environmental activist best known as the co-founder of Flock Together, the UK-based birdwatching collective and global community that uses nature to tackle the underrepresentation of people of colour in outdoor spaces.
Through Flock Together, Nadeem has created an international movement that reframes birdwatching as an act of community, belonging, and mental health – building confidence and connection for thousands of people worldwide. He is also the author of Birds Eye View and a passionate advocate for dismantling barriers to nature, highlighting how access to green spaces is shaped by race, class, and inequality.
Nadeem’s work sits at the intersection of culture, activism, and ecology, championing a future where everyone feels welcome and empowered in the natural world.
