About this course
Around the world, the threat of wildfires has been increasing due to climate change, poor forest management, and human encroachment into wild areas. How do we adapt to these factors and develop our ability to withstand wildfires?
Learn the basics of assessing a landscape for wildfire risks and become familiar with the fundamentals of permaculture design strategies that enable defence against wildfires. This course teaches the significance of landscape features, water storage, thinning vegetation and processing woody material in creating wildfire-resilient landscapes.

About Andrew Millison
Andrew Millison is a Permaculture designer, instructor, and documentary videographer based out of the Pacific Northwest of the United States of America. He has been an instructor in the Horticulture Department at Oregon State University (OSU) since 2009 and he shares his research in story form on his popular YouTube channel. Andrew has travelled the world documenting large-scale and impactful land restoration projects, including India, Africa, and North America.
